God only knows how Joey is going to live in 2015 New York. He has no profession -- no money -- no history -- no driver's license -- no social security card -- no birth certificate -- no friends -- no one who knows him from Adam in the whole world -- and his skills, clothes, and attitude are 80 years out of date. How is he supposed to survive, especially in New York, which is NOT a forgiving city? He seems happy enough during the epilogue, and he says he's forgetting what it was like to be dead, but how long will it be before he remembers he can't walk through walls or talk to himself without being heard?
I don't know. As a game player, I say it's a satisfying ending (though I can't help wishing Joey had been the one who went into the light and Rosa who survived and went on to live out a normal life). But I can't make there be any way for Joey to actually have a normal life in this situation.
