Despite some remarkable shooting skills, the apple is still quite a distance away.

Can't I just magic it over to me?

You're not far off, actually!
The fairy realm continues to be super weird, and this puzzle requires us to mess with the gravity.

How?

The gallery has been good to us so far - give it another look, and try to find something that represents the garden.

What am I looking for?

The garden's defining feature is its massive apple tree; look for anything in the gallery depicting a tree.

Tell me what to do.

The tree painting represents the garden, and we can flip it upside down.
That should send the apple tumbling into the well that was originally on the ceiling.

Where does the well go?

Geron remarks that it looks familiar, as it's quite similar to the one we saw next to the gate guardian.

Where was the guardian, again?

Through the doorway above the guard.

Hooray!
