Now THIS is magic!
Magic! A magic cage, to be precise.
There's an information board on the bottom that can tell you more.
In essence, it said:
1 - That this is the cage of Asmodeus. 2 - That the cage is protected by destroyer magic. 3 - That destroyer magic will transfer to anything that enters the cage, directly or indirectly. 4 - That anything that enters the cage cannot escape.
It means that we can't reach into the prison, but may be able to push the ring out by filling the cage with liquid.
The fairy scholar had a decanter full of wine; try pouring it into the cage.
Looks like directly pouring it is out of the question, and it won't hang from the chandlier on its own.
Try finding a container that will fit into the chandelier.
Something with a wide brim that's fairly long.
Magister Oakward had something like that in his room.
Yes, this hat will do nicely - hang it from the chandlier, then fill it with wine.
Even if we released the wine, it wouldn't flush the ring out - we need something else to enter the cage.
Something that can contain both the wine and the ring, but is more commonly used to hold wine.
You'll find it in the town.
It's the clay jug next to Olgierd.
It's exactly what we need, but too big to enter the cage. Try breaking it down into smaller pieces.
Use Geron's 'smashing' ability, and then put the shards into the cage.
The shards won't do a very good job at holding liquid or the ring - turn them back into a full jug.
Use Geron's 'repair' ability.
All that's left now is to release the wine that's filled the hat. It's hanging directly over the cage, so a decent hole in the bottom should do it.'
Cut a hole into it with your knife.
Ring acquired - but it's probably still dangerous. See what the scholar makes of it.
