If you didn't speak to Aluman thoroughly, you'd have no idea that Adrian has strange psychic powers - he can see the future.

Pick either choice at least twice, then ask 'Why must I always lose?' to get some dialogue to ponder over.

Aluman is the only inmate that knows much about the King - speak to him again, and ask for help with beating Adrian.

To electroshock Edna until she gains powers, too - all he needs is a better coathanger to reach the electroshock room.
