It is shut quite tight. You would probably need a tool to open it. Look around for something that can help you.

The wine cask is actually just a big can of wine. Like a cat food can.

There is a can opener in the cat litter yard. Go right from the downstairs of the cat track to find the yard next to the big cat statue.

He won't open the wine cask if it is full of wine. Empty the wine cask, first.
