How do I approach this puzzle?

This is a strange puzzle. You basically need to start searching for this symbol in other places, too. I'm not sure what the hint is for that.

I need a spoiler about Symbol locations.

There is one in the Graveyard on Pluto. After you have found the Mysterious Door and the Strange Symbol in the Graveyard, I believe a new symbol just appears. You may find it dififcult to find. It doesn't even look like the others.

The Symbol is on an Amulet you previously can't interact with on Spflornk of Pluto's back. Also, you cannot interact with it when he is standing below the Offering Site. You have to find him at the Graveyard. (He may be in both locations.)

Be sure to talk to Spflornk of Pluto very carefully. He will tell you what he wants.
