What do I need to do?

You need to find and knock out a squirrel.

How do I do that?

By luring it out of hiding with some food.
Anything will do - even chicken feed.

Where is it hiding?

Somewhere in the forest - look for signs of a messy eater.

How do I put it to sleep?

If you've tried knocking anyone out on your journey, then you'll know that Skye's main weapon is only powerful enough to make a squirrel sleepy.
It's a ranged weapon.

Help me out.
