When you try to leave the River of Fire area, you find that the door is locked. Poop. Ah, but there's a puzzle here you haven't solved yet.
Get the red seeds you need from the big throne and use them on the red circular panel to the right of this door. Read to the end of this hint for a picture showing how the seeds should be arranged.
What you're doing here is ... well, read Grigor's "Seeds note" again. It gives the basic rules for this puzzle.
The dots in each little slot show the color of the slots that touch it, but not the color of the slot itself. The black slots are empty and stay that way.
Search first for slots that have only one color dot in them. That means every slot that touch them is that color.
When you fill in a slot with the right color, that color disappears from any adjoining slot. That simplifies the board.
Search next for dots that seem to be the only one of that color around. For example, if one slot includes a yellow dot, and almost all of the slots around it are red and pink only, look for the adjoining slot that isn't touched by any of the others; that's probably yellow.
Another help here is to pick out a slot that's surrounded by dotted slots, then see if there's one color that every one of the surrounding slots has. If five of the slots have a pink dot but the sixth one doesn't, it can't be pink.
All the slots have to be filled in except the black slots, which seem to be holes.
You get six errors before Second Chance kicks in. If you absolutely can't tell what color to use, take a guess ... but remember, you don't get a lot of guesses.
Oh, and one last note. If you back up, the puzzle resets; if you save your game halfway through and restore it, it will be totally reset. So you need to get through it in one try. Bleah!
I find this kind of puzzle fun up to the point where I can't find any more easy answers, and then I totally lose interest. Try muddling along as best you can, but when you get stuck, here's the final layout:
