-- there's a pretty little music box that plays a rather odd and pointless tune. Something wrong there, but you won't resolve it till the last third of the game.
Hint 3
You need two things to figure out the music box: the book from the Missti Skip lobby called "Music Book" in inventory, and some written music Elisabet will give you after you finally find out what's in the closet behind her on board the ship.
The goal is to arrange the tines, the pieces that make music when struck, so that they play Elisabet's family song. Read to the end of this hint for the solution.
Hint 5
There are two things to do here: figure out which tine is which note, and notice the bumps on the wheel so you see what order they'll be struck. You can then move the tines around so they get struck in the right order.
Hint 6
If you can read music, this is fiddly but not impossible. If you don't read music, it's a lot harder, but still doable. Really.
Hint 7
First, yank the handle at the left to start the drum rolling. Pay attention to the drum, and you'll see that the first bump comes at the far left. Yank the handle again to stop the music.
Hint 8
The longest tine is the lowest note, and the music starts with the lowest note. So find the longest tine and put it in the first spot. (In the amateur game, the tines are in groups of two. If you place one tine correctly, the other is also correct.)
Hint 9
Now press the red button and notice where the second bump occurs, then move the correct tine for that note to the correct spot.
Hint 10
After you have the third tine in place, you'll start to hear the faint outlines of an actual tune here. Amateurs are almost done; masters still have a way to go, but keep at it.
Hint 11
Here's the tine arrangement you need:
Hint 12
After the tune plays, a drawer opens giving you a small green fish (which you'll need in the ship's secret room area) --
