The bottle would work as a pendulum weight, wouldn't it. Try it on the pendulum. You need to tie the bottle into the pendulum.
You can tie it with a half rope.

The empty bottle is not heavy enough

Fill it with something.

Fill the bottle with what?

Fill it with water.
Use the heavy water bottle on the pendulum.
Use the empty bottle on a fishbowl.
