This is one of the few chambers in the game that can be solved without shooting any portals.

What are the alternate solves?

  1. Shooting a portal through the hole above the grid, then walking through the orange portal while holding the cube.

2. Leaving the cube in front of the orange portal, walking through the grid, and creating a blue portal to retrieve it.

3. Throwing the cube through the hole above the grid by jumping and crouching onto the panel seen below. No portals needed!
