The way ahead is blocked by a platform. You'll need to activate it to proceed.

What do I do?

The energy pellet is nearby, and can seemingly travel through emancipation grids.

Hmm...

The activation hole is on the other side of an emancipation grid, too.

What should I do?

Get the pellet from one side of the room to the other.

The grids will fizzle your portals, but you can move faster than the pellet.

Give me a nudge.

Shoot one portal onto the scorch mark, and the other on the wall above the moving platform.

Help me out.

When the pellet has passed through the portals, approach the activation hole. Place one portal above it, and the other on the wall where the pellet will hit.

If the pellet keeps breaking, remember that they implode after being active for too long; try to act quickly so you can work with a pellet that has literally just been created.
