Getting up the stairs4 hints left
I guess having a portal gun on one arm makes it difficult to hoist yourself up.

What should I do?

Cubes seem pretty solid. Do you think one could take your weight?

What do you mean?

If you got a good run-up, I bet you could jump on top of the cube.

There's not much room for that!

You can crouch (CTRL) while mid-jump to get on top of objects a little easier.

How do I get to the TOP of the stairs?

Don't leave your companion behind! Bring it up to the next step with you, then jump on it again to reach the top.
