The second activation hole3 hints left
One side-room has a pellet dispenser and activation hole in close proximity... but no portal-friendly surfaces.

What do I do?

You can't create portals, so think about it - what else do you have at your disposal?

Hmm...

Don't you have a friend that doesn't mind being hit by energy pellets?

A cube-shaped friend...

Help me out.

Hold the companion cube and put it in the path of the pellet. It'll bounce unpredictably, but should enter the activation hole - and power up the second platform.
