The walls aren't very portal-friendly, but it's a big room... with a tall ceiling.

Help me out.

Create a portal on the wall high above you, and another below your feet.

You may need to move backwards while falling to actually land in your portal, but should build enough momentum to cross the first pit of acid easily.
The ceiling continues to be portal-friendly, and the next platform you need to reach is directly above you.

Hmm...

There's a portal-friendly wall above a pit of acid, too.

Are you feeling brave?
Create a portal on the wall, and another on the ceiling somewhere above the next platform.

You should then jump forward through the portal you placed on the wall - this will let you fall onto the platform.
Another platform awaits, and again, it's above the one you're on now.

Hmm...

The ceiling is still portal-friendly - and so is the platform you're standing on.
Create a portal on the ceiling above the next platform, then put another one beneath your feet.
The next platform is above you once again, and it seems to have some protruding panels facing another doorway.

Hmm...

You can create a portal on the panels to get a better look at the area, but will need some momentum to reach the other doorway.
^[If in doubt - look down!]
Create a portal on the protruding panel, then peer over the edge of the platform to find see another one with a checkerboard pattern - a subtle reminder from the game to use momentum.

Create a second portal on this platform, jump down into it, and you'll soon find yourself in a new room.
