What's on the orange screens?
At first glance, most of the monitors you find in the back-rooms of Aperture are spewing absolute gibberish.
A closer look does reveal a lot of gibberish and corrupted text... alongside a recipe for cake, listing several baking ingredients of varying appropriateness including (but not limited to:)
- Granulated sugar
- Chocolate chips
- Baking soda
- Vanilla frosting
- Fish-shaped ethylbenzene
- Sediment-shaped sediment
- Fish-shaped volatile organic compounds
These ingredients are also mentioned by GLaDOS' blue-eyed orb during her boss fight.
