Our new best buddy had a few interesting things to reveal:

• He is in possession of the train key
• The cell will only open for a guard, as it's locked by a handprint scanner
• Our other alien friend is called a 'Strider'
• Striders are great scent trackers, and will return things to their owners
• A locker in one of the labs can be opened with the code 'LatinLover200'

We now know that, to open the cell, we need a hand.

Like, an actual hand.
