There are three windows in the farmhouse. All of those should be shut down for the imminent threat.

What blocks locusts?

The locusts are small. You would need something that blocks insects.

There are window nets at the gas station.

How do I fix the nets into place?

You can use hammer and nails or just duct tape

You find duct tape inside the van at the roadblock, when you open the locker.
