Opening the tube switcher door 14 hints left

After you visit the land of the living you get access to the tube switcher room (right before the main entrance doors).

The repair demon complains that the boys upstairs throw their beer bottles into the tube system breaking it. It is a delicate machinery.

How do I get into the tube switcher room?

The door won't budge. Manny is not strong enough to open the door.

Who could open the tube switcher door, then?

The repair demon should be able to do it. You just need to summon the repair demon there.

How do I get the repair demon there?

You need to break the tube switcher. He is a repairman, after all.

How do I break the tube switcher?

Put something into the tube system that does not belong there. You can insert stuff into the tube system from your office using the tube system near the window.

Any hints what should I put into the tube system?

You could insert some material into the tube system that would harden in the switcher system.

The packing material from the other room inserted into the switcher system should do it.

You can test the nozzles. If you use both of them you get a lumb of hardened packing material.

Yes, the chemicals react when they get in contact with each other. You would need to keep the chemicals separated until they need to harden in the switcher.

How do I keep the chemicals separated?

You would need some container where to collect the packing material.

What container should I use to collect the packing material?

How about using a balloon?

There is a balloon artist outside. Ask him to make you a dead worm.

I have an empty balloon

Use the balloon on one of the nozzles to collect the material into the balloon. That balloon fits nicely into the tube system.

You can insert the filled balloon into the tube system from Manny's office.

And it reached the central switcher, nice. But it is not hardened, yet.

What should I do?

Get another "dead worm" and fill it with the other chemical and insert that, too, into the tubing system. So that there should now be both chemical inside the switching system.

The repairman will now go and start fixing the system.

What should I do with the repairman?

Well, the door is now open. But as soon as you leave the repairman will bang the door shut and you are out, again.

Try to get the door to stay open. You can summon the repairman by collecting more chemicals and inserting them into the switcher system, again.
